Laid Back Labor Day

Labor Day couldn’t have come at a more perfect time after a few crazy weeks of work and traveling. I am finally back and ready to share with you a few outfits over this past week as well as a special post with a local boutique (stay tuned)! In the meantime, this was a look from this laid back labor day weekend. Casey and I went up to Truckee and lounged around the cabin with family, indulged in way too much food, and had a Breaking Bad marathon (our guilty pleasure).

Kiss, Kiss

All my family and friends know that I am notorious for doing a quarterly season cleaning of my closet, if not monthly at times. My motto is if you haven’t worn it in the last year than it’s time to toss it. Despite my promptness to always toss out the old or items of “what was I thinking”, there are always a few select pieces that I hang on to. One of them being this graphic kiss tee. I can’t even recall where I purchased it, but for some reason I cant seem to let it go. Perhaps it’s the fun print and bright colors that keeps tugging at my heart to stay a little longer in my closet. Thus, I decided to finally wear it this past weekend on a hot summer day.

Wedding Vision

This week has been very productive to say the least. After a few months of research, Casey and I have finally set a date for our wedding and booked the venue. We can’t be more excited about our choice and can finally start counting down. It still feels surreal at times, but I look forward to the day that I can call him my husband and he can call me his wife. Here are a few wedding inspiration ideas for the big day. Leather Jacket

If you’re looking for one item to invest in this Fall I would suggest a nice leather (or faux) jacket. They come in multiple styles and colors and can be worn with almost anything. I bought this grey,moto style one a few seasons back and am so glad I did. This season I am thinking about purchasing a black or brown one in a different style.
